Pragmatic Play has been around for quite some time but we have yet to review a single game from their repertoire. After having to meet one of their developers at the ICE London 2019, we thought it would be the right time to go for a review. Certainly, most of their slots are well regarded by the community. With grands such as Wolf Gold and Great Rhino, Pragmatic Play is at the top of the market with other big game providers. For the most part, they tend to stray away from trend-catching per se. Mostly, they try to stick to their own niche game design. Nonetheless, Pragmatic Play still adds some trendy elements to the game, as is the case for Wild Gladiators. So, let’s see what this slot really has to offer and dive into this Wild Gladiators slot review.
Wild Gladiators Slot Review: An overview
Off the top, we see the very standard layout as is common for Pragmatic Play slots. Wild Gladiators slot uses the basic 5-by-3 grid layout alongside 25 fixed paylines. As the name implies, the slot is based on a Gladiator theme and features design elements derived from Roman times. Some of the premium symbols feature characters such as some Caesar looking dude, a blond chick with a dagger and a tiger. Surely enough, they are all adjusted to the setting and the five premium symbols are accompanied with five basic symbols. In addition to that, there’s also a Wild Symbol, which is more or less the core component of the game. Also, whenever the Wild Symbol lands in the middle row, it expands across the whole reel.
The Wild Gladiator slot lands in the low-to-medium volatility end of the scale. The bet size ranges from €0.25 to €125 and the game packs an RTP of 96.17%. Additionally, it is worth noting that the game is compatible with tablet and mobile and even has a battery saver feature.
Wild Gladiators Slot Review: Features
On top of all the standard jazz that’s featured in the game, the Wild Gladiator slot has an extra reel. It’s quite similar to Quickspin’s latest release Divine Dreams. The extra reel rolls options for an added win multiplier for every base game spin and is also featured in the free spins bonus game. The win multipliers range from 1X to 10X.
In addition to the win multipliers, the extra reel features the Super Wild Bonus. Once that is triggered, a respin occurs and adds a single Wild Symbol on all five reels. The real twist comes in place whenever there they land in the middle row. As mentioned above, the wilds that land in the middle row expands into a full reel wild. This can get you closer to the maximum potential win of 4000X, that occurs in a situation of five fully expanded wilds.
The Free Spins Bonus Game does not differ much from the base game. All of the same rules apply and there is a possibility for a respin. That is quite unfortunate as they could have added at least some higher win multipliers, as Quickspin did in Divine Dreams. The free spins bonus game does not add that much to the game as a whole. Well, other than just the opportunity to receive unpaid spins.
Wild Gladiators Slot Review: Conclusion
All in all, in this Wild Gladiators slot review, we looked at the slot as thoroughly as possible. Although the layers of the game are quite limited, the game is still fairly straightforward. Pragmatic Play is certainly not known much for its innovation. Rather, their slots are simple for the most part. The same case is for Wild Gladiators slot. There’s not a lot going on in it, most features we have already seen in older slots. The volatility and the math model is fairly balanced with its maximum win potential. The design is up to Pragmatic standards. Overall, this game is definitely worth a try but we’ll see how long will its reign last after it releases. Do check out this game when it releases on the 7th of March.
