The first stage of SlotsFighter Season 3 has wrapped up, and we’ve had plenty of surprises. Starting from stellar performances from tournament newcomers ranging to unexpected exits. Stage 1 Recap: New Arrivals
The start of season 3 marked a monumental change: the format of 8 players was replaced by 12. While we had several returning players including prior tournament champions Spin Ninja and Chloe, there was also a crop of new faces. The Netherlands continued to show their presence, with streamers CasinoBonusMaster and HDTaboo joining the fray. On CBM’s very first SlotsFighter game, he also managed to score an fantastic 1500x hit on Merkur Slots Odin.
While ultimately CasinoBonusMaster could not make it out of the group stage, this colossal win will live on in memory. Other newcomers seemed to fair comparatively better. Josh from FruitySlots received additional help in the form of his companion Jamie. While it’s hard to predict if it was the ultimate element to their success, but the duo finished up in first place in their group. Popular YouTuber AwayDays and FreeSpins.se community member SpinGranny also progressed further on in the tournament. Check out her insane win on the NetEnt slot Hotline below!
Stage 1 Recap: The Champion’s Curse?
A surprising factor in the first stage of Season 3 was the continued failure of champions to progress past the initial hurdle. Spin Ninja, the winner of Season 1, was unable to pass the first stage in Season 2. The same scenario repeated in this stage, as he finished last in his group, managing to score a measly 4 points. Another surprise early exit was Season 2 champion, Chloe. Although she put up a fight, her wins not enough to cross the barrier. We can still take a moment to recollect on her fantastic climb during Season 2.
Is the champion’s curse real? So far, all signs seem to point towards such a fact. We’ll probably get a little bit more evidence during the next season, where the previous champions will have a chance to put themselves to the test once again. While Chloe might be leaving the tournament saddened, it’s finally some good news for her father, Chipmonkz! After being unsuccessful in his campaigns during the previous tournaments, he’s finally out of the group stages and looking in good form. He will look to continue his run during the second stage, which will feature 4 games for each participant.
Stage 1 Recap: The Favorites Of Stage 2
While SlotsFighter can be a fierce beast to predict, we have some early points favorites who will have an advantage heading into the next stage. The first group was as consolidated as they come, with most players passing through having roughly 8 points. The only “top dog” in the group was the duo of Josh and Jamie: FruitySlots! The second group was more skewed towards the top. SpinGranny, Casinomon, and HDTaboo take the top 3 positions in the group. As points gained against the eliminated players shall be deducted, it will be interesting to see how the rest of the tournament will shape up.
